We've only had this machine a short time and all ready I hate it. It's hard to work because you can't see the buttons. The machine isn't working correctly on rewind for VHS either. I'm taking it back, not worth the money.

When I bought this player a year ago, most of the reviews I read online were positive, and I've always had good luck with Samsung products. But this player is the worst piece of electronic equipment I've ever owned. One: The VCR player plays and records poorly. Two: The DVD player DIED a couple of months ago. And I play maybe three discs a week.
DO NOT BUY.

I would not buy this item again. the promo does not tell you that to work on a VHS tape you need a special rca plug on your TV which mine did not have. The DVD works great but forget to VHS

Unfortunately, the product was defective, so I had to return it. Not planning on purchasing the same brand next time.

Great features, great price, great picture. Best deal for a VCR w/ upconverting DVD. Can't speak for longevity yet - only have it about a month & have used it lightly. I read a lot of reviews and it seems like most (all ?) VCR/DVD's have a lot of unhappy users due to longevity problems. So, I decided to go w/ Samsung because of my good experience w/ their TVs.
